Closer

watched Mike Nichols' Closer yesterday night. Realistic and Honest about our modern Lonely Hearts. And it got me thinking.

Can it be that Love is better when looked from a distance?
Perhaps it is the distance that we want to keep. The sense of mystery that keeps drawing us in.
Perhaps Love becomes cloying when we get too close. And it becomes gooey and icky.

But how can there be Love if we don't get closer?

Maybe it is the Desire that we are yearning for.
Perhaps it is the distance that we want to get rid of. To touch, to kiss, to caress.
Perhaps it is the closeness we want shy away from. Aren't we all too vulnerable to hurt again?

If we get closer, we may find disappointments.
If we become distant, we may lose our way.
Perhaps I will go closer until you want me to go away.
Perhaps I will keep the distance just enough to tease you.

Because this time, I think I want to try to grow up.

Chang 'e, that lady that lives on the love. She is really in fact a prisoner of the moon. The offence I guess is cos she was in love. with the wrong person, wrong time, etc. Love is the flower in the mirror and the moon in the water. Try catching that moon in the water and you will understand.

Love, really is over rated...

Although over rated, doesn't mean it's not essential.
That's why there is Hollywood, Bollywood, Casinos, Air conditioned buses.
But still it feels good to have them around. right?

Don't worry, I don't worship Love
