The Prestige
The story is about two magicians who spends their whole life trying to prove that one is the better of the other.
And of course, each pays his own price in the end.
To me, the essence of the movie is when Robert Angier (played by Hugh Jackman) was showing his 'magic' - a real machine that can duplicate any element and form, to a prospective investor who is also a great magician, all the amazed man said was, "Add something to the act. Give the audience something to suspect about."
Isn't it true that sometimes the truth is not enough?
People want fanciful things.
If magic cannot look like it is something that is merely a trick, people will not buy it.
And I must know this well because people often ask me to be honest.
But I have to be tactful.
People are adorable.
Truth and nothing but the truth.

it was a very good show.. but the sad thing was that sometimes when you excel too much in something that you want to be good in, you realise that you lose some other things.
Think the prestige took it to the extreme.
