Love Songs

The thing about growing up is experiences changes you. And words that you hear have a different meaning after each event.
Which is why sometimes I like to listen to the songs that I used to like. I think most of those romantic love songs have become just another love song. But there are some that finally made sense to me.

I used to hate Madonna's "You Must Love Me". Lyrics never did made any sense to me. All she sings is "You must love me". Over and over.
No one can expect that their someone must love them. Maybe we hope, maybe we guess. But when you love someone so deeply, although you never say it out loud, you'll most probably say "You must love me". Over and over.

Now, I listen to this song when I feel insecure.

Deep in my heart I'm concealing
Things that I'm longing to say
Scared to confess what I'm feeling
Frightened you'll slip away
You must love me

The the other song is Kit Chan "他不适合你" (He's not meant for you).
As everyone's relationships get more and more complicated, I find myself always thinking more and more that love affairs are like a fit. No use to cry over someone who doesn't fit. Maybe at the end of the day, that lovey feeling that we feel doesn't really mean anything.

何不好好过 ("Why don't you move on?")
谁都会说 (Anyone can say that)
你给了一颗心又得到什么 (You gave your heart and what good is that?)
他不适合你 (He's not meant for you)
是你最奢侈最珍贵的收获 (Is actually the most extravagant and precious gift you can receive)
